Bob Ohmann, President of St. Lawrence Homes, spent his first 16 years in the construction industry working for national builders. While working for these companies, he realized that the size and scale of their operations enabled them to offer an affordable product, but what most national builders could not offer the homebuyer was the flexibility and quality service that Ohmann deemed important. Most of the decision-makers for these firms were located out of the market--and for the homebuyer, that distance was not just geographic. The homebuyer had to go through several avenues just to communicate with the builder, and was often forced to accept building limitations on their home.
Bridging the Gap Between Buyer & Builder
Through his experiences, Bob Ohmann became convinced that the builder and homebuyer should work more closely.
So when he founded St. Lawrence Homes in 1989, he kept a simple goal in mind: to build a company that would close that distance between the builder and homebuyer, while exceeding the quality and affordability offered by many of the national building firms.
Since its inception, St. Lawrence Homes has always kept Ohmann's founding principle in sight.
